Learn to draw and paint portraits Discover proportions through observation of life models and learn to understand the fundamentals of human facial proportions. Learn the construction and anatomy of a human head -- the muscles, bones and joints that affect the outline of a human face and its expression. Life model: some sessions are one off with the same model -- many poses held for 5-20 minutes each. Otherwise, the model may pose for hours. Live impressions, allowing different emotions of each pose to be captured Fosters creativity & inspires artists to pursue new goals in art Our students exploring painting will learn the preparation needed -- building up a palette and the basics of underpainting and composition. They will learn to master various mediums of paint including oil, acrylic and watercolour.
