Intensive Foundation Course

Service Description

Over the course of this intensive foundation course, teens will systematically build strong technical and conceptual art skills through a structured progression of core disciplines. The program begins with Drawing Fundamentals, focusing on line quality, shading, and value to develop observation and control. Students then study the Human Figure, learning accurate body proportions and head construction to strengthen anatomical understanding. As the course advances, students explore Perspective Drawing to create depth and spatial accuracy, followed by Composition Building, in which they learn to organise elements effectively within a frame. Technical painting skills are introduced through Fundamental Painting & Colour Theory, developing confidence in colour mixing, tonal control, and palette harmony. In the final stage, students move into Concept Development, learning how to generate ideas, refine visual narratives, and connect technical decisions with artistic intention. The course culminates in the creation of a resolved final painting, in which students apply drawing, perspective, composition, colour theory, and conceptual thinking to a cohesive, portfolio-ready Artwork.
